WebTools.Engineer is a collection of free, browser-based tools for developers, marketers, writers, and anyone who needs a reliable utility without signing up for yet another service.

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to a server. No account is required. Nothing is tracked beyond basic, anonymous analytics.

Why We Built This

Most “free tool” websites aren’t actually free. They give you a few uses, then hit you with a paywall. Or they’re free to use but harvest your data. Or they look free but are covered in ads for products you don’t need.

We wanted tools that work the way a calculator works — you open it, you use it, you close it, and no one’s following you around the internet afterwards.

The browser-based approach isn’t just a privacy choice — it’s also faster. There’s no round-trip to a server and back. Your JSON validates instantly. Your TDEE calculates the moment you enter your weight. Your headline gets scored as you type. No loading spinners. No API rate limits.

What We’ve Built So Far

As of 2026, WebTools.Engineer has 31 tools across six categories:

• Developer tools — YAML validator, JWT decoder, chmod calculator, cron generator, WCAG contrast checker, schema markup generator, and more
• Finance tools — invoice generator, compound interest calculator, debt payoff calculator, cash flow forecast, and savings trackers
• Writing tools — headline analyzer (with A/B mode), readability analyzer with 7 scoring formulas, and Markdown-to-HTML converter
• Marketing tools — UTM campaign builder, SERP preview tool, character counter
• Career tools — ATS resume keyword analyzer, skills radar chart generator
• Health tools — TDEE & macro calculator, due date calculator, ovulation tracker

Our Standards for Tool Quality

Every tool we publish has to meet a few criteria before it goes live:

1. It runs client-side. No user data leaves the browser.
2. It has no usage limits. No credit system, no monthly cap, no locked features.
3. It’s based on established methodology. The TDEE calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. The readability analyzer uses the actual Flesch-Kincaid formula. The headline scorer is built on documented copywriting frameworks. We don’t make up scores.
4. It actually works on mobile. We test on real devices.

The Privacy Commitment

None of our tools transmit your data. This matters more for some tools than others:

For the JWT decoder, this means your auth tokens never leave your machine. For the invoice generator, your client details and billing information stay on your device. For the health calculators, your weight, age, and menstrual cycle data are processed locally and discarded when you close the tab.

We don’t run ads. We don’t sell data. We don’t have a premium tier that the free tier is trying to upsell you to.
